The Barracuda and Hammerhead work well for single and dual Beckett protein skimmers (Barracuda for single, Hammerhead for dual). The Dart is famous for it reliable and quiet operation as a circulation pump, particularly for smaller tanks. We have a Hammerhead as a closed loop pump on our 500 gallon tank and it works great. We don't recommend the Dart or the Snapper for Beckett skimmers but the Dart will work in a pinch if you don't have something with more head.

The Snapper is a new circulation pump from Reeflo perfect for smaller tanks. 2500 GPH at less than 100 watts for under $200! Can be used for circulation on tanks as small as 60 and up to 150 gallons. It's a downsize version of the Dart pump that can be valved down even further if needed for smaller tanks - down to 1300 gph at 75 watts!
